Off-Page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Off-Page Search Engine Optimisation
Off-site SEO, also known as Off-Page search engine optimisation is the process of actions taken outside of your website to improve the rank ability within key search engines such as Google, Yahoo & Bing.
These off-page actions combined with good on-page SEO and Technical SEO develop a trustworthy relationship with Google and increase traffic driven to your website. This is normally done in conjunction with an in-depth on-site and technical SEO strategy.
The proven way to build trust with Google is to have other authoritative sites link to your website. This is the term you’ve most likely heard of: “backlinks”.
This is essentially seen as a voting or referral system for Google. If other internet users and publishers are following and vouching for you, Google will deem this a good thing.
That’s right – 50%!
Constructing high-quality backlinks is the building blocks of any successful SEO strategy. Not many people realise this, but that is how a Search Engine is built, by Spiders.
I’ll let Matt Cutt’s do the talking!:

Manually Built Backlinks
These are generally the quickest, yet safest way of building high quality backlinks to your site without being punished by Google.
These links are basically the shame of the SEO space such as directory submissions, forum posts etc. They hold little to no value.
